Even though the drone is 242 grams, which is under the weight limit for registration, you still have to abide by your countries rules and regulations. It only takes one person to not follow the rules to cause stricter enforcement and more guidelines put upon drones. I’d like to have them as unrestricted as possible, so know what you can and can’t do in the area you’re flying in. And never ever fly in restricted airspace without authorization. As great as the 4K and raw photos are though, you should be aware of what angle you’re pointing the lens relative to the sun or other light sources while shooting. This isn’t a professional drone, so I’m going to take it easy on the lens flares here – but it’s something to be aware of.
However, we can also execute an upward motion if enabled in the DJI Fly app. If you are in doubt of any feature, like the ISO, you can leave that one on auto, while setting others to manual. You can move the gimbal of the Mini 2 by putting your finger on the screen, long pressing it, then sliding it through it. When doing this, the gimbal will mimic the movements of your finger.

Results are a bit softer wide open than at f/4 and smaller settings, so you may want to work in aperture priority and keep the iris closed down for the sharpest results. At f/8 and f/11, bright points of light show as multi-point sunstars, a desirable look for landscape work. Photos are available at 20MP resolution in JPG format with the Hasselblad profile or as Raw DNG for editing. The JPG shots are a little brighter, a bit crisper, and correct for some slight barrel distortion.
I say this to say that, a week ago I had an incident with my drone in which it crashed. The problem I had was, in the crash it ended up on its back with the blades still going.. Causing more damage to the drone itself, as well as the propellers. I wasn’t able to grab it with my hands, and was in to much of a panic looking through the app to figure out how to QUICKLY stop it.
I wish DJI would have added internal storage, especially since this is a drone aimed towards beginners. It still retains its lightweight, small form factor and shares dji fly a lot of the same accessories.
