ActiveTrack has been improved, two new QuickShots have been added, and with the Mavic Air’s rear vision sensors you can use TapFly to fly backward. The DJI Mavic Air shoots and stitches together 25 photos in eight seconds to create crystal-clear 32 MP Sphere panoramas. It also supports multiple pano modes including horizontal, vertical, and 180°.
But with a price tag of $1,600, you really have to value those extra features. I can’t find this app in the Play Store anymore, the best way to download it is to go directly to the DJI website. The Motorola One 5G Ace is fully compatible with DJI Fly. I’ve had the phone for about two months and just bought a DJI Mini 2 a week ago and it works flawlessly. Try with another USB cable or remove and insert the USB cable again.
The lens offers a 50mm full-frame equivalent field of view and an ultrafast F0.95 aperture in a compact, all-metal form factor. I do not believe it does that for the Mavic Mini 2 and most of DJI’s other current consumer drone releases. Litchi depends on the link between the remote and the drone.
The Mini 2 can transmit very clear video from up to around 6 miles, according to DJI. Suffice to say you can fly the Mini 2 well beyond visual range—which, friendly reminder, you should never do—and still get a video feed. All the automated shot phantom 4 modes of the previous model—Dronie, Circle, Helix, and Rocket—are still there, along with a new one called Boomerang. As the name suggests, the Mini 2 does a flyby and then circles back around. Supposedly, DJI’s next enterprise product will be ‘for everyday heroes’, a term that the company has explained any further.
PetaPixel reached out to DJI for an official comment from the company and was pointed to a reply from the DJI Support Twitter handle, published on Sunday. In it, the company indicates that any issues with AeroScope are caused by loss of power or internet. At the time of publication, neither of these situations had come to pass. AeroScope is DJI’s drone detection platform that can identify unmanned aerial vehicle communication links and gather information like flight status, paths, and other information in real-time.
