Took my husband and I about an hour to assemble, but he has some experience doing this. Purchased this because Mountain bike no longe r get it on our annual October beach trip. Tybee island this year and we don’t plan to use the car except to transport the bikes to savannah for sightseeing.
In the mean time, I’m going to work on the brakes, fender reinforcement, and engine mounting. I’d like to paint the tank and some of the components too… If the tires are $25 plus ship then with the wide wheels the bike is a pretty good deal. I didn’t take any pictures of the Huffy last night before I took the wheels off but here’s what it looks like with the wheels and tires I had on my stretch. Here are some pictures of my bike with the lusso wheels on it. I didn’t really care for the caramel color of the wheels with the cream tires but I think they look nice with the whitewalls.
Hopefully the reduction in vibration will be worth it. My bike had very minimal lubrication on ALL the bearings… The headset bearings and the crank bearings were easy – they were also only lightly oiled on installation and really needed some more grease.
