Cuisinart Clermont Pellet Grill & Smoker Cover

The Woodcreek, in particular, offers a lot for under $500. I have a Cuisinart portable grill that I use in my boat, that is a pretty good product. Don’t know about this model at all, but my experience with the brand is just fine. The fire pot in the Clermont is in the center of the grill. This is great placement, because it helps ensure that the temperature is going to be more even throughout the grill. As with any new grill, there are some steps you need to take before your first cook.

It’s more compact than some of the other grills we tested, but it contains dual racks inside, each boasting roughly 400 square inches of grilling surface area. There’s plenty cuisinart griddler elite of room to grill several briskets, pork shoulders, or racks of ribs in this grill. This pellet grill did a fantastic job of holding temperatures at higher temps.

The missing PID functionality of the Cuisinart Clermont I do think is not great on a pellet grill/smoker for this price. The Traveler is about as stripped-down and simple a pellet grill as you can find. That’s good news, because we found it to be a very nice little grill, capable of smoking low and slow, as well as grilling burgers and chicken. When we did crack it open, we found that the “High” setting, above 450 degrees, helped keep constant temperatures on the cooking surface. We were initially wary of the small hopper and expected to be constantly filling it, but that wasn’t the case. We smoked for about six hours before having to top it off—and it probably could have gone a little longer.

Sturdy and adjustable hook & loop fastener straps can guarantee tightness for the extreme outdoor conditions. Its heavy-duty construction and double insulation improves heat retention and reduces pellet consumption by 33%. Top this up with its superior performance, and you have got the pellet grill with the best value for money. The reason why there is such a large variance in temperature between the bottom grill and top cabinet is that the bottom grill is where the smoke and heat are produced.

Since there was no sear plate that exposed the food to the fire pot’s flame, the chicken wings cooked evenly and resulted in a perfectly crispy exterior. When it came to low-and-slow cooking, the grill had no problem hovering around 225°F, and we only noticed a +/-10°F swing during the 10-hour smoke time. The brisket turned out smokier than most of the briskets we cooked, too.

For the price, we were fine with these discrepancies, but it’s an indicator that you get what you pay for. The build materials also feel and look cheaper than other grills we tested, so we’re not convinced this grill cuisinart soup maker will last as long as some of the others in the test group. Finally, we assessed each grill’s aesthetics and build quality, looking to see if it wheeled around easily without rattling and whether it was built to last.
