This makes it incredibly difficult to see what it is you are trimming. Braun used innovative slim and SmartClick technology in the new generation of shavers and consequently, the Braun 5018s comes with a SmartClick trimmer. The trimmer attachment works like a regular beard trimmer. The electric shaver doesn’t have a precision trimmer to trim your sideburns and neck hair. You can shave your dense, full beard and create clean lines with the precision trimmer attachment.
That’s where the similarities between the shavers ends. The 5040s has a precision trimmer on the back of the handle. You don’t need to remove the shaver head, find the trimmer, and attach it to the shaver. You can edge your sideburns, goatee, beard, or mustache. The Series s and cc both have precision trimmers on the handle itself. You won’t lose any attachments for shaving when the trimmer is right on the shaver.

It is recommended that you clean your Series 5 shaver after each and every use. In an effort to help those of you with poor shaving technique, the shaving heads have a certain amount of give. The second shave I used a shave oil because I couldn’t see how well it was doing with the foam. Although I could see better, the quality fo the shave was low. It’s a shaver that’s just above budget-friendly and is better than much cheaper models, but as mentioned above it’s a good shaver but not great. It’s fairly quiet and does not vibrate too much in comparison to others. As usual, I spent about a month using and testing out the Braun Series 5 electric shaver to maximize how it performs.
