Rather than simply removing the lid from the case and cleaning up the blades with a brush, it’s essential to get rid of the reducing cassette and blades from your electrical razor head. There will undoubtedly be a build-up of product around the blades, so give it a thorough brushing. I replaced multiple products for no other reason but a dead battery, not because the newer was better. A big part of the reason to seal it in is to reduce size and weight of the battery. A batter that isn’t handled, doesn’t have simple contacts, can be less shielded, and oddly shaped to fit the space. It also makes it easier to get those coveted waterproofing ratings — those rubberized seals take up space too. Another nuisance was when the phone was dropped, the battery cover popped off and the battery came out 80% of the time, resetting the phone.
Now plugging the adapter directly into the shaver is an incredibly smooth process. While the cable was tough to push in, pulling it out required a good amount of strength. I’ll be honest, I am not a fan of having a shaver dock forced upon me. I feel that they are a greedy cash grab by manufacturers to lock you into buying a disposable item on a regular basis. Pressing down too hard or leaving the shaver stationary for too long will reward you with a nasty razor burn. A delicate touch is required which again requires practice.
I had the best experience with the Braun foil shavers forever. I’ve also found them to be very practical for a bearded man who shaves some parts of his face. It’s not difficult and needs more initiative than your everyday tidy. You may have an electric razor that has hygiene and washing terminal.
