I tried the Weber Traveler, the new $325 collapsible, portable grill Here’s what happened

The Traveler has the same burner and grate configuration as the Q2200 so it isn’t perfect. However the Traveler, which is just a little bigger than the Q2200 is absolutely portable and has a much improved cart and side table. My experience with weber q grills is that they get hot enough to grill steaks properly, have even heat distribution and are highly reliable. I do not own a Q2200 but do have the Q1200 and Q3200, and I enjoy both of them very much. Once your order is placed and we have your product in our warehouse, the freight/delivery company will contact you to schedule a drop off time. The primary difference is the small, sturdy fold-out tables on the side to keep your utensils close-by.

This grill holds up to three good size steaks, or 6 medium burgers. I’ve used it for veggitables, warming up buns, and for foil packets. Ease of Use Like any other grill, turn on the gas and light it up. Ease of Cleaning Clean while still warm, so any stuck on food comes off. Durability This grill travels with us on every camping trip.

This is the first propane smoker with a thermostat, making this baby foolproof. Set ThermoTemp’s dial from 175° to 350°F and the thermostat inside will adjust the burner just like an indoor kitchen oven. All you need to do is add wood to the tray above the burner to start smokin’. portable bbq Millions come to AmazingRibs.com every month for high quality tested recipes, tips on technique, science, mythbusting, product reviews, and inspiration. The Q Series grills are made from cast aluminum and heavy duty plastic which makes them immune to rust when used in coastal areas and near swimming pools. The Weber Traveler is a new portable gas grill that is a legitimate alternative to the series. The Traveler is large, but highly portable, and packs serious searing power. Yes that’s right Weber briefly made a charcoal version of the Weber Q. The configuration and price of the grill proved to not be very appealing to the customers.
