After being impressed with the hard floor cleaner, the company is back with a lighter, more powerful model.
The only issue you might have is that there are now detail tools, so you may still have to clean some areas by hand if you can’t physically get the CrossWave Cordless Max’s head into a spot. I just installed vinyl planks and the Crosswave is greatest product for my new floors. Ironically, cleaning the Bissell after use has more steps than using the vacuum to wipe up your floors. After the self-cleaning cycle, our editor had to disassemble the parts, wash by hand, and leave out to dry before assembling again. As my floors are mostly comprised of wood, I’m very cautious about adding too much moisture lest the floorboards start warping or bulging. Thankfully, the CrossWave seems to remove more excess water than other models, leaving just a very thin film in its wake which evaporates in minutes. In fact, this part of the process impressed me so much that the machine has become my new go-to floor cleaner for all eventualities. There will be times, mind, when you will need to remove the dirty water container and rinse it under a sink, especially if the catch filter is clogged with hair or other unsightly muck. But this is par for the course with any type of floor cleaner. The Samsung is a more conventional cordless stick vacuum that you can bundle with a somewhat unique ‘Spinning Sweeper’ floorhead, which uses rotating mop pads to scrub-away stains. However, this floorhead only scrubs away at stains, and the vacuum isn’t capable of dealing with liquid spills, unlike the BISSELL. That said, the Samsung vacuum is considerably better at everyday vacuuming tasks.
