Plan your mowing pattern to avoid discharge of material toward roads, sidewalks, bystanders, and the like. Also, avoid discharging material against walls or obstructions, which may cause discharged material to ricochet back toward the operator. Always wear safety glasses or safety goggles during operation and while performing an adjustment or repair to protect your eyes. Thrown objects that ricochet can cause serious injury to the eyes. Always use a face or dust mask if the operation is dusty.
I believe most mowers have a 3 year warranty so adding that additional year means they must really believe in their product. Normal stock mower blades perform well on dry, shorter grasses, and are optimized for efficiency, while high lift blades work better in extreme conditions. The high-lift blade has deeper curves on the ends, which increase suction to circulate and expel the clippings.
This results in more power when and where it’s needed. When you don’t, the mower operate at more conservative numbers—saving runtime. And, if you want to manually ramp up your power, just hit the Turbo button anytime. The Greenworks Pro has a 60-volt brushless motor with push-button start provides more power, torque and longer life without the hassle of gas. A brushless lawn mower is one where the motor can automatically adjust to the power needs of the job.
Mounting nuts and spacers of blade A are interchangeable with that of blade B. Remove grass clippings, leaves, dirt, and other debris. Higher blade height is necessary for new or thick grass.
With the Greeworks Optimow 50H Robotic Lawn Mower, you can have a perfectly groomed lawn without breaking a sweat. It takes some effort to install the perimeter wire, but once everything is set up you can sit back and let the mower take over. The Optimow performed admirably in our tests and its mobile app makes it easy to create custom day or night schedules. That said, you’ll have to eventually pay for a cellular plan to continue using the app because the mower doesn’t offer Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity. For a few hundred dollars less, our Editors’ Choice winner for robotic lawn mowers, the Worx Landroid M 20V, uses Wi-Fi to let you control it from just about anywhere and offers lots of onboard controls.
The Settings and Position button opens a screen where you can manually create work schedules to have the mower come out at a certain time on specific days of the week. Or you can use the Scheduling Wizard to create a schedule based on your lawn size. Simply use the slider to tell the wizard how big your lawn area is, select day or night for preferred working hours, and the wizard will automatically create a schedule based on your input. Some of the Hardware is a Little “Cheap” – For a mower in this price range, it would have been nice to see Greenworks spend just that little bit more to upgrade the quality on some of the hardware. It Mulches Great – A considerable number of consumers that have bought and used this mower specifically single out its ability to mulch as a real plus. It’s not just that you have the option to mulch either. It chops up clippings into really fine mulch, with very few reports of clumping and is a real improvement on most of the models that came before it, such as the 40v Twin Blade version. So if mulching is important to you, this is a good bet.
Be sure to open the cap and check the level before you start your work to be on the safe side. Most importantly, we were able to cut quickly while maintaining a high level of control as we worked at a variety of heights and angles over several hours. I got a call from our friend Eli Mosely letting me know he had a huge water oak come down out at the ranch that we needed to cut up. These oaks are pretty, but they tend to rot in the center, weakening until they split and come down. While the center of the tree was rotten, the branches were just fine, giving us plenty of 12 – 18-inch thick solid oak to work on.
