An oil that is extracted from a mixture of seeds which contain Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids and is commonly used to supply additional energy and flavor. However, since purina one dog food this ingredient is not specifically listing it’s plant source it’s not possible to determine the quality. This food has well-balanced amounts of protein, fat, and carbs.
And lastly, this food contains chelated minerals, minerals that have been chemically attached to protein. Chelated minerals are usually found in better dog foods. Although most meat by-products can be nutritious, we do not consider such vaguely described ingredients to be as high in quality as those derived from a named animal source. The fourth ingredient includes meat by-products, an item made from slaughterhouse waste. This is what’s left of slaughtered animals after all the prime striated muscle cuts have been removed.
This product has an above average amount of calories for wet food. The most recent purchase of the chicken and rice ground dinner was very different than what I had bought for many years. The new cans were very wet and almost soupy compared to the older cans..

Some dogs may develop wheat allergies, though they are a lot less common than allergies to beef, dairy and soy.
