Bought two years ago, had to send it back twice for faulty mixing action, it kept slipping or stop altogether. Now it has started faulty heating and takes three times as long. I used to keep it on high for 9 mins, then the rest of 30 mins on medium. No matter what vegetable I used it was always ready after 30 minutes.
There’s a high setting for bringing liquids up to the boil and a simmer setting which is a lower temperature and ideal for simmering soups. If you want to stir, you need to press the slow stir button. Overall, I’m definitely pleased with the Cuisinart Blend & Cook Soup and Beverage Maker. I’m sure I will continue to use it to make healthy vegetable soups, and I plan to try some of the other recipes included in the recipe booklet. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting an easy way to make homemade creamy soups.
