We’ve done the research on products designed to save you time and money. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max does a great job of sucking up water. It leaves the surface slightly damp but has no trouble clearing the water as a whole. The water tank has clearly legible fill lines for cleaning either large or small spaces. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max feels decently well-built. It’s similar to the BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro in terms of overall build quality, with a body made mainly from hard plastic and an aluminum wand.
I also appreciate that due to it’s compact size, it cleans small areas just as well as large areas. It’s listed as a high-performance vacuum with its fast cleaning ability. People love that it works as a carpet cleaner, a steam mop, a dry vacuum, and wet vacuum. I was disappointed that this machine is 1) heavy and hard to maneuver; 2) takes up more room than expected; 3) leaves a puddle of dirty water once you stop cleaning.
Cordlessly vacuum and wash floors at the same time without being tied to an outlet. It’s considerably quieter than the BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro, presumably thanks to its smaller, less powerful suction motor. If you run it within an enclosed room, people nearby aren’t likely to be disturbed. The irobot vacuum cleaner Max doesn’t come with attachments, though there is an additional replacement brushroll for its floorhead. I would say this is an investment piece that is totally worth saving up your pennies for. Hands down, I would 100% recommend this small appliance if you’re in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.
To add the solution to the tank, all you have to do is first add warm water to the waterline, and then add your solution to the solution line. The Cordless Max has a self-cleaning cycle to make that process so easy with just the push of a button. To make sure this vacuum functions the right way every time, cleaning it out is essential every time you use it. I would have to that the battery life is decently a con. The battery level only lasts 30 minutes or so before needing to be back on the charging dock.
It doesn’t have enough power to keep its brushroll spinning on dense high-pile carpeting, and its relatively weak suction motor can’t draw debris from carpet fibers. The water tank was pretty dirty after cleaning my area rugs so I know it did its job. My real highlight with the Crosswave vacuum is the mop for hard surfaces. The irobot vacuum cleaner Max has a fairly spacious dirt compartment. It’s important to note that this vacuum also has a 28 oz water tank for its mopping feature. The clean tank dispenses water and solution mixture with a pull of a trigger, while dirty water is removed from floors and stored in a separate dirty water tank.
The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max is a passable option for cleaning staircases. It feels lightweight in your hand, while its cordless design ensures you won’t trip over a power cord. It performs remarkably well on bare surfaces, though it can have a hard time on low-pile carpeting. Safe an effective on multiple surfaces including tile, sealed wood floors, carpet, rugs, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, and more. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max isn’t suitable for cleaning high-pile carpet.
