It’s definitely at least a two-person job, and it’s best if one of those people is comfortable with construction projects. Setup can be tackled by the average layperson, although it might be a slow process; it took our team of three about five hours total over the course of two days. The trampoline’s full dimensions are 15 x 9 feet, but that’s including the frame.
Our kids can jump far higher than our former junior trampoline. I’ve jumped as well (I weigh 220 lbs.) and it accommodated my just fine (even though little tikes cape cottage playhouse the specs say the max weight is 200 lbs. – I guess I’ll have to limit my participation). Is this as good as a professional gymnastics trampoline?
The time put into the construction of the Skywalker rectangle trampoline was worth it. At no point have we seen even a slight give to the frame of the trampoline—not even when larger kids take tumble run after tumble run on it. It can withstand some serious acrobatic skills, and the springs keep their tension every time. The frame is made of weather-resistant galvanized steel, and the UV-protected polypropylene jump mat is held up by about 76 tightly coiled rust-resistant springs.
As for inserting the springs, it wasn’t all that hard. The instructions provide step-by-step instructions as to the order to inserting them. We followed it by the letter and didn’t have much problem. Another thing bounce pro trampoline to keep in mind when reading this review is at the time of writing we have only had it a very short while. The fact our former junior trampoline made it 5 years is unbelievable to me so I have high hopes.

It was simple enough to sweep off the pine needles and leaves prior to playing, but rounding up all of the stinky socks the kids scattered presented more of a challenge. Assembling the frame required a very minimal use of power tools and a bit of elbow grease. We found that this was easily a two- or three-person job, as someone needs to hold the bulky parts in place while another person bolts them together. Still, this part of the construction was pretty simple.
It would be nice if it came with a small attached ladder. It doesn’t and so we’re looking for a firm platform to place outside the entrance. Whenever you measure “good” price must be taken into account.
This issue added quite a bit of time to the construction of the trampoline. Sure, it could have been user error—buyer, beware if you’re less than handy with tools or instructions—but after looking back at the instructions, they still seem unclear. Because this is a conventional trampoline construction with a metal frame, it is not as safe as a springfree trampoline. Although few, we have also viewed complaints of missing parts when the package arrived. First, all other reviews say it is a fantastic trampoline.
You’ll need a large yard with a flat surface for this product. The round design is a good option for families with multiple kids, but if you’re looking for a trampoline to fit in a tight space, this is not the one for you. Even with several kids jumping at once, they were able to get a good bounce from the jump surface, enough to throw layouts or back tucks with no issue. But, as with any toy, not all trampolines are created equal, so we tested this Skywalker model to see how it stands up to the competition. We had several kids of varying ages jump on the trampoline, both in groups and alone, to see how the Skywalker held up to the stress of the flips and occasional collisions.
