Replacement Canopy for Ozark Trail 13 x 13 Instant Shelter

I really liked the way it looked and the space but will not be able to use it due to the leaks. I must say that nothing is waterproof, water resistant is a better term. I bought a $3 bottle of seam sealer followed the directions and have not had a single issue with water since. I live in Canada and find these tents to be very good. If you a experienced camper like myself you would know that you have to use a tarp to cover your tent so that the water does not get inside when it rains. And you have to make sure that the zipper is closed well and also sprayed with a water repellent.

It has been made with high-quality materials and a sturdy frame, ensuring extended use. This large canopy gives 200 sq ft of coverage and features an easy-up design with telescoping legs, so it can be set up in just a matter of minutes. It also has a heavy-duty water-resistant canopy and rust-resistant legs, making it a great choice for cover on party days with rain in the forecast! Plus it includes a wheeled bag for easy transportation and storage. The weight of this Ozark Trail is lighter than most of the same size alternative steel frame canopy tents, coming in right about 29 lbs. An argument can be made as to whether this is good or bad.

With this model, you receive a free carry bag with wheels for easier transport, and 4 stakes and ropes to tie and secure it down. It can stand on its own, but we always recommend that you lock it down, so it has no chance of blowing away. The feet areas of the legs are also something to mention, as they are shaped like pads instead of a simple pole. This adds to the stability as the weight is more evenly spread. It would probably only protect against light rainfall as the materials aren’t specifically made for moderate or heavy moisture levels. We think you should use a waterproof spray, that you can find at many retailers, just to be safe.

I have a set of rating criteria that I use consistently for all the tents here in the site. This tent has great features but the weight and packed size affect the overall rating. After pushing the Simple Push handle, there are four poles on each corner to support the canopy. Slide up these poles to your desired height. The tent is open at the top with a weather rain fly that fits over the dome. The fly is so small it allows rain to blow up under and then runs into the tent.

I am preparing for a camping trip of 10 days and nights down in Florida where it rains a lot and the wind sometimes is pretty strong so I am wondering if the fly will stay put. There is a large space between it and the top of the tent that might be a trap for strong wind so the fly gets ripped off. I think I will go shopping this week for ozark trail tents another tent that I feel better about. Otherwise I like the tent but do not trust it to hold up in severe conditions. Let me just tell you this, it doesn’t make a difference what model your tent is. The main thing is is that the zippers that you put in these tents are so substandard that it doesn’t last more than one or two camping trips.

For adjusting the height of this model, there is a push switch system that is designed to make things as easy as possible for the user. You’ll find orange buttons on each leg that are quite large so that you can effortlessly press them and move the poles up and down. Adventure is where memories are made, whether it’s campouts in the backyard with the kids, Saturdays at the river with friends, or a week in the wilderness alone. Ozark Trail helps you and your family create everyday adventures with gear and accessories built with you in mind. From backpacks to tents, they’re rugged, dependable, and priced to be practical.

The only place I put up the tent was in the backyard. We must have had some wind but not tornado force/ hurricane force winds. I just wish ozark trail tents who I need to contact to get a new tent shell and two end poles that are made of sturdy material would contact me and make good of it.

You also want to ensure that you’re in an area that is safe for food – that is to say, away from wildlife – and that you’re using the right tools to keep animals away. If you’re outdoors in a forest, you should check whether you’re near bear territory. The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service recommends storing food in bear-resistant containers at all times. You also want to use bear-resistant dumpsters, which may be available throughout your campsite.
