Weber Genesis II S-435 REVIEWED

If you are looking to use your grill more often or consider yourself a lifestyle griller, a Genesis model might be for you. For the most part, the grilling community seems to agree that the E-310 has impressive storage, space, and overall build compared to most gas grills. Controlled via your smartphone, the iGrill 3 uses a digital thermometer to monitor the grilling system. You can also set timers, alarms and even monitor your propane tank levels.

This allows you to connect wirelessly to your grill, monitoring your cook while you catch the game inside. While some people believe it is one of the best grills Weber has ever produced, others are not so sure. BBQGuys does more than test and sell grills — we weber q show you how to use them, too. Our experts provide the recipes and skills you need to be a grill master. Indicates whether the grill provides one ore more hooks to hang your grilling tools. Here are some  photos I took of these grills and comments on each.

Burgers the Genesis II cooked were seared well but a little dry. We also like the oversized front wheels in the Weber grill. They should make this grill easier to move around than the Napoleon unit. The Genesis II Series was made as to the flagship product in the Weber grill catalogue.

With more time and family personnel available they gradually began increasing the length of their season and daily hours. That’s why I’m surprised by the unpredictable behavior the $850 Weber Genesis II E-310 demonstrated on our tests. This isn’t to say this is a bad product, it’s simply that you’ll likely need to learn its quirks before you achieve the best grilling results. In contrast, the Char-Broil SmartChef over the same time period came out much better.

The lids feel heavy and sturdy, the handles strong and secure. To my eye, the lids appear just a short and squat in-person as they do in photos. A member of The Virtual Weber Bulletin Board reports that the grate to lid height is 1″ shorter than 2016 models. Perhaps it’s a optical illusion, but it sure seems shorter than that. If steaks and chops worthy of Instagram are your thing, you’ll want the sear grill, with the sought-after diamond pattern built-in for no-fail grill marks. Weber has a deservedly good reputation for backing up their products (10-year warranty — hello!) and offering support to their customers.

The Genesis II E-310 offers numerous opportunities to upgrade and enhance your grill. Which of these you’ll really need will vary depending on how you like to grill. Over on the Better Business Bureau site, they’re rated A+, and the few negative reviews are mainly from complainers who could probably never be made happy, anyway. Use stainless steel cleaner on any appropriate spots on the exterior (such as the shelves) to keep them looking their best. Warm, soapy water is your best bet for plastic and enameled parts. Part of your regular maintenance routine will be emptying the grease pan.

The Genesis II uses wedge-shaped bars to cover and protect its burners from grease and drippings. The bars also act as deflectors to spread heat evenly across the grilling surface above as well. All three burners are lit by the same ignition weber charcoal grill module and its corresponding igniter button. You have to supply it with AA disposable batteries, as you do with most other propane grills. Each of the burners have their own weather-resistant electrodes, however, to improve reliability.
