Weber Spirit II E-210 44020001 Grill Review

They back up the claim by increasing the warranty on the ignition from two to ten years. You fire Spirit II up by turning the left control knob to HIGH then pressing the ignition button. A crossover flame runs from left to right to ignite the middle and right burners. Throughout our limited time testing Spirit II, we were impressed by the flawless ignition performance. This fire box design holds and radiates heat evenly, perhaps making up for a lid that seems slightly light weight.

On top of all that, this grill is particularly easy to assemble, maintain, and use, and its finish comes in four colors (black, white, red, and blue). No matter the brand of grill, we don’t like to fully rely on built-in thermometers. But thermometers in the lid are several inches above the cooking grate and don’t accurately report the temperature on the surface where you’re actually cooking your food. Consider getting an inexpensive infrared thermometer to gauge the temperature of the cooking grates. Weber added two new models to its Spirit line of gas grills in 2020, but we ultimately chose not to test them.

This is one of the main elements that you need to look at when choosing any grill, and the Weber Spirit II E 310 is no different. Take the weber spirit 2 battery out of the igniter before you store the grill long-term. The Spirit II E-310 (and every grill) should come with a grill cover.

The iGrill is nice but there are better options on the street that we have reviewed. The cooking performance of a gas grill is measure by the BTU rating per hour and is a core element to cooking on a grill. This indicates grill temperature Blackstone Adventure when only one or two of the burners are on, to represent a cooking task where the food is placed between or alongside the direct flame. Weber claims their new Infinity Ignition is significantly enhanced, more robust and consistent.

We also like that the base sits on four casters—as opposed to the combination of two casters and two fixed wheels on its predecessor, the Genesis II. And compared with the Spirit II’s two fixed wheels, the casters on the E-325s make it easier for folks with varying abilities to maneuver the cart. However, we’re bummed that Weber decided to move the propane tank hook and gauge from the side (where they sit on the Spirit II and previous Genesis models) to under the firebox inside the cart. We can only imagine the crawling and contorting one must do to hook a full tank of liquid propane in that small cabinet. With 424 square inches of primary grilling space, the three-burner Spirit II E-310 can easily accommodate 12 large hamburgers, two whole or cut-up chickens, or a large cut for smoking, like brisket. For instance, you can sear steak or fish on one side of the grill and cook vegetables on lower heat on the other.

The last Spirit Series had cast aluminum sides with a large, slide out grease tray that doubled as firebox bottom. Spirit II has a single piece, cast aluminum fire box with a funnel shaped bottom that diverts grease into a small slide out grease tray (see below). The sleek open-cart design provides additional room and accessibility of your grilling tools. The Spirit II grills have an open cart design as opposed to the closed cabinet on the standard Spirit grills.
