Igloo Iceless Thermoelectric Cooler Review

They offer a quite large 46 quart all the way down to a much more portable 6 liter via their Wagan 2260 series. In between this is multiple other options including a 7 liter, 10.5 liter, 14 liter, and a 24 liter. All of these coolers hit totally different target audiences but are worth mentioning in this review.

This is close to the conditions inside the back of a car or truck, and the coolers did not perform as well as we’d hoped. I created CoolAndPortable.com to help home owners select the right portable air conditioner, cooler or air purifier for their needs & budget in just a few minutes. Of course, this Igloo is going to be much heavier when loaded with drinks and snacks. When empty, the cooler weighs 9-10 lbs depending on whether you pick the 26-quart or 28-quart one. But at anything less than 90 degrees F, the Igloo Iceless cooler will keep your stuff perfectly chilled. So if you want to store frozen food or ice in the Igloo Iceless , then pre-freeze it before you drop it in.

The Wagan is just as nice to use, if you don’t need a thermostat to keep your cooler from freezing. The Dometic – TC35-DC-A is a cooler with extra features that might justify its cost among a select group of buyers, but in terms of pure functionality it’s not doing much extra. The main feature to note is a thermostat, which will allow you to fine-tune the internal temperature and save power. If you just want to keep your beverages at a more refreshing temperature without dealing with ice, it’ll do just fine. If you want to pack this with food and take it to a party, make sure you carefully pack the most perishable items next to a frozen water bottle or ice pack. While that’s not necessarily a bad thing, in this case, it’s far outshone by its competition.

Next time you’re on a family outing, camping out, or enjoying outdoor sports events, you won’t need to search for ice for the cooler! Just plug the Plentikool thermoelectric cooler (and warmer) into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter. It cools without Ice – as low as 46 degrees below outdoor temperature- or warms food to 155 degrees. Thermoelectric coolers are an excellent choice for drinks, but milk and other quick-spoiling food will need extra ice packs or some different kind of cooling solution. While the Koolatron 29 Quart Voyager Thermoelectric is not as portable as some of the other 12V coolers, it still delivers some the best qualities. Requiring no ice, purchasers have stated that this product will keep your beverages igloo electric cooler (capacity is equivalent to 48 12oz. cans) and food cold for up to two to three days. Like most other thermoelectric coolers, this cooler is just a fridge. If your home is 78°F you’ll be able to chill most thermoelectric coolers down to about 38-40°F. If you live in an especially hot climate and your home’s temperature fluctuates frequently this may not be enough cooling effect.

You can stick this cooler just about anywhere and it is very affordable. If we had to pick one model to go with, we would recommend the small 10 liter. It is portable enough to take places but there is enough space to fit the essentials that you need.

The smaller 226 series up to 6224 series are really designed to hold a few cans up to 27 cans and are shaped perfectly to be nestled up in between the seats in your car. If we had to pick one we would have to go with the P75 as it is a nice compromise between size, performance, and still being relatively easy to transport. Asking prices are also quite reasonable for what you are getting. The coolers were running off of household electrical power for this test, which required the use of adapters not included with most coolers. If your requirements are flexible and you just want a cheap cooler, the Igloo is not a bad design overall, with a useful carry handle and a good-looking exterior.
