The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max is a passable option for cleaning staircases. It feels lightweight in your hand, while its cordless design ensures you won’t trip over a power cord. It performs remarkably well on bare surfaces, though it can have a hard time on low-pile carpeting. Safe an effective on multiple surfaces including tile, sealed wood floors, carpet, rugs, laminate, linoleum, rubber floor mats, pressed wood floors, and more. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max isn’t suitable for cleaning high-pile carpet.
As mentioned above, you can easily hook your Bissell CrossWave up to wifi and connect on an app for maintenance, support, cleaning tips, and a usage dashboard. I have a few shag rugs and the high-pile seems to get caught in the roller. As a bonus, my Bissel Crosswave vacuum came with a second brush for backup!

Its brushroll motor isn’t strong enough to keep the roller moving on thick carpeting, making it very hard to push around. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max’s performance on low-pile carpet is poor.
The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max and Samsung Jet 90 Complete are different types of vacuums, though both offer some mopping functionality. However, this floorhead only scrubs away at stains, and the vacuum isn’t capable of dealing with liquid spills, unlike the BISSELL. That said, the Samsung vacuum is considerably better at everyday vacuuming tasks. It performs much better on carpeted floors with its multi-surface floorhead, is easier to maneuver, weighs considerably less, and has longer battery life.
Due to having a large home, how much square footage I can cover really depends on how fast I can work. The Bissel CrossWave does an outstanding job picking up messes on floors. For instance, it will even pick up items as large as cereal and small legos.

To use this feature all you have to do is make sure there is enough solution in the tank. If not, fill up the tank with warm water to the self-cleaning line. My cleaning isn’t delayed by having to clean the brushes and then letting them dry before irobot vacuum cleaner using again, because they do need to be rinsed with hot water between uses. I also appreciate that due to it’s compact size, it cleans small areas just as well as large areas. It’s listed as a high-performance vacuum with its fast cleaning ability. People love that it works as a carpet cleaner, dyson robot vacuum a steam mop, a dry vacuum, and wet vacuum. I was disappointed that this machine is 1) heavy and hard to maneuver; 2) takes up more room than expected; 3) leaves a puddle of dirty water once you stop cleaning.
The floorhead release hinge unlocks with very little effort, making it hard to roll the vacuum around when it’s positioned completely upright. You’ll likely find it easier to move the vacuum from place to place by using the grab handle, which has a rubberized surface to give you a more secure grip. Most of its controls are within easy reach, with its surface mode switch on top of the handle and a detergent trigger just underneath it. It’s perfect for large areas with many types of flooring, including tile floors, wooden floors, and can even clean area rugs and carpets. It leaves your carpets slightly damp, but they dry quickly. I will say, this does not replace a carpet shampooer.
I should say it does an okay job with corners, but not as well as it would do with a hose. So If I wanted to wash down my furniture I actually have to lift up my vacuum and place it shark cordless on my furniture and work it back and forth. The website does say that they have improved this feature, but it’s still not ideal for those areas because there are no attachments.
