It also looks like you can remove part of the internal tubing that connects the bin to the brushes. Another design aspect that sets Dyson’s robo cleaners apart is the the tank track wheels. The idea here is to make sure the robot doesn’t get stuck climbing up on rugs and the like. Dyson also says the tech allows it to make lightweight vacuums. The “360” part suggests that the robot will follow in the 360 Eye’s rolling brush-steps by carrying a 360-degree vision system.

You’d be forgiven if you didn’t know that Dyson already has a robot vacuum in its collection. In 2014, the home appliance debuted the Dyson 360, its first robot vacuum, and released it in select countries — not including the US. Now, it looks like Dyson may be gearing up for a US release of a robot vacuum. The 360 Eye picked up a lot of the pet hair, but the rest was stuck along the side of the test pen. The 360 Eye came in last place on the rice test, picking up just 2.18 ounces on the plush carpet, 1.85 ounces on the berber-style carpet, and 2.13 ounces on the hardwood floor.

It will take visual cues from the camera to create a map of the cleaning area. This map is then stored in memory as a roadmap guide for where it needs to clean. The cameras on these two vacuums set them apart from all the rest. The 360 Eye also allows you to use Alexa commands to start cleaning, get status reports, and you can even find out more details about the features of the vacuum. Impressively, this robot returns itself to its docking station to charge. However, it occasionally struggled with this, bumping into the docking station rather than parking itself. In addition, when it does steer onto the docking port, it can be insecure. On one occasion, having watched the vacuum take itself back to its dock, leaving it there between tests, we were disappointed to return to find it had not charged properly. Keeping up with the maintenance of your robotic vacuum is of paramount importance. You should have a regular schedule of things such as battery checks, clogs, emptying the dustbins, checking the extractors for tangles and general cleaning.
