Hyper Bicycles: E-Ride 36V 700C Electric Bike or 26″ Electric Mountain Bike

You can feel the breeze and the sun on your face (Vitamin D). Hyper Bikes is a catchall phrase used to describe Hybrid Bicycles, which are preferred by urban cyclists for their ability to tread effortlessly hyper mountain bike on city trails and off-road ones. This cutting-edge equipment provides a great way for riders to travel faster, farther, and more comfortably than ever before. “To be back with Hyper is a great opportunity that I’m very excited about to, say the least,”said E.C.. “To be handed the keys to the castle with the task of building a high end line of mountain bikes for the Hyper brand is both a big responsibility and honor. I will still be on the bike at all scheduled events but my role will be more directed toward educating riders about our products and growing the brand at a grass roots level, rather than focusing solely on results”. The ‘842 and ’642 patents are both design patents which pertain to bicycles and, in particular, the ornamental design of two bicycles.

This puts a question mark on many people’s plans year after year, as to whether it is “worth it” to travel to a trade show, aside from the four days of socializing. Donny was also key to the success of the Hyper “dR Pro Model” Program which made competitive, starter BMX bikes available to thousands of kids who would not otherwise had the chance to experience our sport. Hyper Bicycles regrets to announce the departure of Donny “dR” Robinson from the Hyper factory racing team. After five incredibly successful years, which included an Elite World Championship and an Olympic Bronze medal, Donny and Hyper have decided to part ways.

We saw Donny riding through the parking lot on Friday afternoon in Guthrie. He had just finished the first in a series of talks at middle schools as part of the Donny Robinson “In Motion” Mentoring Program. We had been aware of the program, and the visit, by keeping up with Donny’s Twitter updates. Yess is bringing the above expert fork to market, and is currently working to make some design refinements to the traditional Yess Pro-Sized fork. Shown in Expert size on the demo bike of Justin Hailey, the expert Yess fork is made of 7005 aluminum, weighs 410 grams and will retail for under $150. Stock finishes will be matte black and gloss white, but as noted above in-house powder coating allows Yess to do custom frame-fork color pairings.

Whether that is just a hook-up for something new to ride, or a prelude to news to be released in coming days will be keeping us close to the BMX News ticker tape. With the season opener 21 days away, it’s likely we will know sooner rather than later. I rode for Hyper as an amateur back in 1994, and returning to the team in 2007 was like a homecoming.

The parties disagree as to whether the Court should provide a verbal construction of the claimed design at all, or should instead advert to the pictorial representation thereof as shown in figures one through seven of each patent. Defendant argues for a verbal construction but plaintiff contends that illustrations will suffice. While a hyper bike is a cost-effective choice, the cost increases exponentially as you crave for a better set of wheels. A fancy mountain bike used by the pros can set you back by almost 3-5 grands, even high-end indoor bikes like the Peloton and the newer model Peloton Plus don’t cost that much.

Claim construction proceeds differently with respect to design patents. Design patents are typically claimed as shown in drawings, and claim construction is adapted accordingly. Egyptian Goddess, Inc. v. Swisa, hyper mountain bike Inc., 543 F.3d 665, 679 (Fed. Cir. 2008) (citation omitted). The Federal Circuit has instructed that a design patent’s claim is often better represented by illustrations than a written claim construction.

A brand may hop between four or five owners over the course of a decade. There are various reasons for this, but generally it involves an acquisition of one company by another, or the previous owner losing it in an all-night poker game after the NORA Cup (ok, maybe not so much the second one–usually it’s not poker). Along with his acquisition of the Answer BMX brand, John Sawyer also took possession of the Strength BMX brand (you may remember that name from the Luke Wilson/Bubba Harris era, as Bubba was aboard a Strength prototype during his most recent time in the Answer uniform). And finally, there will be an Answer brake set in both pro and mini sizes, with a cool-as-ice-cream lever.

We see them making efforts to move merch, yes…but also to promote the sport of BMX Racing to a broad, general interest audience, who may not otherwise know about the sport. We are looking for a few more top National-caliber riders to complete the 2011 roster, but expect to see the new members of the orange and black competing at the ABA Silver Dollar Nationals in Reno, NV this weekend.

In the intervening years Hyper has maintained its position as a leader in BMX, with a full line of products for racing and freestyle riders. Hyper has also continued its commitment to the sport by sponsoring riders, teams, as well as being the series title sponsor for several major events. With a long history of active, successful participation in BMX, it was time to establish a similar position in the Mountain Bike community. The obvious best choice to manage our entry into the Mountain Biking was longtime friend and MTB legend Eric Carter. Eric is currently heading up our Product Development Program and is organizing our marketing and support efforts.
