The Intex Frame provides superior structural support that allows a large size pool with greater water depth. Stacy, we had some difficulty removing the horizontal bars, too. If the bar is stuck to the actual liner, turning it will sometimes help loosen it.
Be prepared to spend a whole lot of extra money on an Intex 26′ round pool. The pump and filter supplied is not adequate for this pool. I ended up having to purchase a Hayward pump & sand filter and thru the wall skimmer and then hard plumbing it. Before buying an Intex people should shop around and you can usually find a pool with correct equipment and of better quality installed for what the Intex pool is going to end up costing you. Also don’ call Intex for help, support, or warranty the are not helpful and their warrants are not what you expect . I am very unsatisfied with their products and will not make this mistake again.

Intex supplies the smallest possible pumps with its pools. While they can keep the water circulating, we didn’t think it kept our pool as clean as it could, so we upgraded to a bigger one. We still used an Intex brand, just more substantial, and it works great. You may want to consider upgrading before you even install the first pump.
