While the 5090cc in our review is waterproof and can be safely rinsed with water, you cannot use it in the shower or with shaving cream or gel. The second shave I used a shave oil because I couldn’t see how well it was doing with the foam. Although I could see better, the quality fo the shave was low. To recharge the battery, only use the detachable power supply provided with this appliance.

The blades and foils can’t be separated , so some stubborn hairs and debris may get stuck in hard-to-reach spots.
That is correct, the Series 5, 8 and 9 all have very similar bodies and the design and placement of the trimmer are the same . So it’s a totally different approach from the Series 7. The cassettes of the Remington Shaver Series 5 are indeed more challenging to clean manually, but that should steer you away from getting one. A Series 5 solo model will have a similar price to the ES-LT41-K, maybe a bit more expensive.
