The program is intended to ensure COVID-19 tests are made available to populations and settings in need of testing, especially populations at greatest risk from adverse outcomes related to COVID-19. On February 16, 2022, HRSA added point-of-care testing supplies to Medical masks the program. Health centers and rural health clinics already onboarded to order at-home self-tests do not need to take additional onboarding steps to order point-of-care supplies. The at-home specimen collection kit program is no longer taking requests for tests.

COVID 19 Test Kits

During the initial launch, each household in the U.S. was eligible to order four free test kits per address. About60 million householdsplaced orders for their free test kits in the first two weeks and 69 million in the first phase. In a second launch on March 7, 2022, each household became eligible to order an additional set of four tests. To date, USPS has received more than 100 million orders for free test kits. COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus Public Health will hand out free at-home COVID-19 testing kits on Tuesday to encourage residents to make sure they are virus-free before gathering for the Thanksgiving holiday.

An antibody test does NOT tell you if you are infected currently. It only tells you if you had a previous infection and currently is not recommended for individual use. These “Point of Care” tests are performed in a doctor’s office, pharmacy, or facility. Medicaid, Essential Plan, Child Health Plus and HARP members can receive their allowed number of COVID-19 at-home, rapid tests from an in-network pharmacy. You will pay no out-of-pocket costs when you obtain a test from an in-network pharmacy. You cannot submit a claim for reimbursement to EmblemHealth from an out-of-network pharmacy, store, or online retailer.
