Dyson 360 Heurist robot vacuum review: most bespoke clean your house can get

The Samsung Jet Bot+ comes with precise sensing and mapping using LiDar sensors. The robot in the FCC filings looks like it’s built to stay much closer to the ground than the 360 Eye, which should allow the device to fit under low spaces, like under a couch. As noted by The Verge, this device differs from the 360 Eye and the more recently launched 360 Heurist, which are both taller and slimmer in order to navigate around tight corners and furniture. Pictures submitted also show a light ring, which could help the robot clean up at night. Current robot vacuum is out of stock, and FCC filings point to Dyson’s next move.

The Ecovas Deebot X1 Omni is a mop and vacuum in one, but rather than slosh water over your hard floors, it can also scrub them. In our tests, it could remove dried coffee and cola from laminate flooring easily. The dyson robot vacuum Roborock S6 MaxV has dual cameras and a Lidar, so it’s quick when it comes to mapping a room. It’ll even mark obstacles like discarded shoes or furniture on the map and snap a photo that can be seen in the app.

These battery operated towers will send an infrared signal that creates an invisible barrier your vacuum will not cross. You can set it in doorways to prevent access to a room or area, or turn on radius mode to surround items such as pet food bowls and easily knocked over items. The Roomba also has drop detection sensors that prevent it from falling off stairs or ledges. This is generally when dark carpet has stark contrasts between light and dark, or tile floors are black and white. Pricing on the potential robot vacuum isn’t certain, though the Heurist retails for £800 (~$1,088). The new filing doesn’t guarantee that Dyson will ever release the 360 Hyperdymium, much less in the states, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for a potential release date or new details.

You can look at the design for clues as to when you might encounter problems. For homes with such terrain you want a robot vacuum with a good amount of clearance, so its front does not get stuck on raised surfaces. Chunky wheels able to move in and out of the frame also increase that clearance when needed. Dyson goes even further, using a tank track-like underside rather than wheels.

Even if you relocated the vacuum and charging station prior to the next cleaning cycle, there wouldn’t be many issues in navigation. The Roomba 980 has a top mount video camera that allows it to map the cleaning area with a visual map. The iAdapt 2.0 technology stores this map rendering in the robot’s memory to allow it to clean more efficiently. It will note furniture location, obstacles and drops, ledges and stairs and remember their location for the next cleaning cycle.

It can mop and vacuum, but its dual function means it’s one of the biggest robot vacuums we’ve tested, taking up a significant amount of space and struggling to get between chair legs. However, it’s surprisingly quiet in use, making it a gentle giant. Of course, robot vacuum cleaners aren’t new, but they have been catching on more and more since smart home technology has become better and more accessible. It features a powerful bissell crosswave cordless motor that spins at a high speed of 78,000 rpm, suitable for effectively picking up dust, debris, and pet hairs. Dyson claims this vacuum cleaner offers 20 percent more suction power when compared to their first edition robot vacuum, the Dyson 360 Eye. The brush bar on the Dyson 360 Eye vacuum cleaner extends to the full width of the machine, meaning that it doesn’t rely on side sweepers to reach the edges of the room.

Thankfully the S6 MaxV is quick and relatively quiet, although you’ll not want to chat while it’s in the same room. It can cover plenty of ground too and will give an average open plan living room a good clean in just 20 minutes. The product blurb suggests it can detect and avoid objects as small as 5x3cm, so trainers (assuming the laces aren’t trailing), toys, and general clutter can be smoothly navigated. At this price, there’s very little to complain about with the X8 Hybrid.

Appearing in an FCC filing this week, the Roomba robot vacuum shows a collection of features that make this device seem at least as powerful as the previously-released , Dyson 360 Heurist. This new device sports a shocking blue and assurance that it works with a brand new Dyson Hyperdymium motor. ● The vacuum cleaner has a self-emptying station with a 2.6 quarts capacity so that you don’t have to worry about emptying the dust cup frequently. ● It features a brush bar that stretches to the entire length of the vacuum to clean every inch of a surface where this vacuum cleaner moves. The vacuum cleaner can run on three different speed settings, and the lowest speed settings give you a runtime of 75 minutes, which is more than enough to clean a small size home.

Providing this isn’t an issue you have the Dyson name and up to a five-year warranty to back the machine. It does leave a bad taste in my mouth for the level of clean is does not do. However, as part of a regular cleaning program, the floors can stay clean with regular use.
