Check out our Keurig K-Classic review for a great option. This mid-priced model is just as straightforward to use but includes a 48 ounce removable water reservoir. The Plus coffee maker is a first generation Keurig machine that is compatible only with 1.0 coffee pods, rather than the newer 2.0 pods. This is to the consumer’s advantage, as 1.0 pods are much more readily available and affordable .

The price per cup of coffee isn’t quite up there with a Starbucks cappuccino, but it’s not that far behind, either. Not to mention how environmentally unfriendly all those single-use plastic pods can be. So you’re in the market for a new coffee maker, but you’re not interested in expensive or overly complicated contraptions designed to serve a small army. It can be frustrating and time-consuming to find the right coffee maker that fits your lifestyle – but that’s where Keurig comes in.

Your attention was focused on the two boxes that appeared to contain the same product but had a gap in price that would imply that one is different than the other. The point is that sometimes the differences are minute, and it comes down to price and how that affects options. Hamilton Beach Perfect Pod is proud to be the engineering and industry leader in the reusable coffee filter category… Being the first, and so far the only company to bring K-Mini compatible reusable filters to the market. Like its predecessor Keurig Mini, the brewer has a single cup reservoir. You can brew any cup size between 6-12 ounces depending on how much water you pour into the tank. A single cup reservoir ensures that the water is always fresh, but it will require some extra time for heating the water for each cup. The reservoir can be removed from the base so it’s easy to rinse and refill.

Its 5-inch design makes it perfect for studio apartments, tiny dorm rooms, and small officers. Its convenient size comes as no surprise to us, as the entire Keurig brand aims to make coffee easy and accessible to anyone. It has a single light around its large brew button to show when your machine is heating Keurig K-Mini up, and, of course, it has a latch to raise the compartment that the pod slots into. You can add however much ground coffee you like to your reusable K-Cup , providing another way to play with coffee strength. Most coffee lovers find that K-Cups are under-dosed, particularly for brewing larger coffees.

Use our Keurig® mini instructions pdf to make coffee brewing easier for your entire family, office, and guests. Brand owner satisfaction ratings are based on the proportion of members who are extremely likely to recommend their single-serve coffee maker to their friends and family. A fresh design to fit in more places, K-Mini Plus is attractive and easy to use.

Whether it is BPA-free or not, this plastic comes into direct contact with scorching hot water. As you may know by now, I am personally very concerned about using products in which boiling water touches plastic. As I was preparing the Keurig K-Mini review, I tried to research what the product is made of. This feature is programmed to turn of the coffee maker automatically after it has been idle for 90 seconds. This helps me save energy and, in consequence, it helps me save money too.

Of course, this means the water tank will need refilling with each brew. This is one of the main differences between these smaller machines and other Keurig machines with a multi-cup water reservoir. Keurig K-Mini brews a perfectly satisfying cup of coffee. Though there’s no big fanfare or sophistication in flavors, K-Mini can do its job well. Further, the brewing process is extremely simple, easy and convenient. Keurig K-Mini seems to be reasonably priced given the features, technology and design.

However, if you want to brew the coffee into travel mugs when you’re on the move, you can take out their drip trays, offering an extra inch of clearance. One thing makes this brewer different from other Keurig® models; there is no water reservoir. This happens to be the only reason I prefer this unit – especially for my weekend cottage. The water does not sit in the unit all week while I am away, and winter storage is a non-factor. This means the water will sit in the coffee maker all season.
